A&D Electrical delivered an LED and emergency lighting upgrade for a high-bay warehouse in Tipton, including the installation of a bespoke control and monitoring unit designed around the requirements of the building.
In a large industrial environment, lighting needs to do more than simply illuminate the space. It needs to be practical to operate, appropriate for the working environment and supported by controls that allow the installation to be effectively managed.
The completed system combines upgraded lighting with dedicated control infrastructure to provide a robust solution for the warehouse.
Brief
The Challenge
High-bay industrial buildings present very different lighting requirements from domestic or conventional commercial environments.
Large floor areas, significant ceiling heights and operational working spaces require a lighting installation capable of providing effective illumination while remaining practical to control and manage.
Emergency lighting also forms an important part of the overall installation.
A bespoke approach was therefore required rather than treating the project as a straightforward replacement of individual fittings.
